Five Things to do Before Going Back to Uni
Summer is quickly winding down, and before you know it, you’ll be packing up your bags and going back to uni. Before you leave home, make time to do these five things.
Have a Big Night Out with your Hometown Friends
During the semester, you probably won’t get to see much of your friends from home. So, before you leave, have one last night out. Go to all your favourite pubs and clubs, and enjoy every moment of your last night together before you all head off to your separate unis.
Buy all your Textbooks and Supplies
As soon as you get your class syllabuses, start looking online for textbooks. If you buy your books ahead of time, won’t get stuck having to get them at the expensive campus bookstore. You should also buy your school supplies and anything you need for your flat. That way, you won’t have to worry about having to go shopping for essentials when you get to your uni town.
Donate Unwanted Clothes to Charity
The week before you go back to uni is the perfect time to clean out your closet. Take all those old clothes that don’t fit or that you barely ever wear and bring them over to the charity shop of your choice.
Learn to Cook some New Recipes
Are you tired of eating only pasta and ramen while you’re at uni? Summer is the perfect time to learn some new recipes. While you’re at home, borrow some ingredients from your parents’ fridge and teach yourself how to make a few good meals.
Take Time to Relax
As soon as you get back to uni, your life is going to become hectic. There will be friends to see, societies to go to, and tons of classwork to do. During your last few weeks at home, give yourself plenty of time to relax. Schedule a few days where you do nothing but sit on the couch and watch Netflix. Then, when you get back to uni, you’ll be rested and ready to dive right into the action.
